How to Use an Enema/ Clyster Bulb
- Separate rectal applicator syringe from bulb.
- Fill syringe bulb with enema solution and replace rectal applicator.
- Lubricate rectal applicator syringe using a water-soluble lubricant.
- Position yourself in the position you feel the most comfortable and gently insert rectal applicator into the rectum.
- Squeeze bulb gently to flush solution into bowel.
- Retain solution as long as possible before relaxing the muscles to release contents of bowel.
- Repeat process if necessary
